What Can I Claim
Whether it’s tax credits, tax reliefs, or the Universal Social Charge, many PAYE workers often overlook the fact that they might be eligible for significant tax rebates from Revenue. That’s where we step in. At My Tax Refund, our mission is straightforward: to assist individuals in effortlessly verifying any potential overpaid tax with Revenue and determining the tax rebate they may be entitled to.
Understanding PAYE In Ireland
In Ireland, most employees pay their taxes through the PAYE (Pay As You Earn) system. This method allows your employer to directly deduct the due taxes from your wages on behalf of the Revenue.
What Is PAYE?
PAYE, or “Pay As You Earn”, is a straightforward system employed by the Irish Government. It ensures that the appropriate amounts for income tax, USC, and PRSI are deducted from your wages based on your earnings. Essentially, before your paycheck reaches you, these deductions are made and directly remitted to the revenue, which then channels it to the Irish Government. This system aims to simplify tax payments for employees. However, it’s always wise to verify if the correct deductions are being made!
Who Pays PAYE Income Tax?
Anyone working in Ireland is typically subject to income tax through the PAYE system. While no one relishes parting with their hard-earned money for taxes, there are legal ways to ensure you’re not overpaying. Stay tuned for our top strategies to minimise your payments to Revenue and keep more of your earnings in your pocket!
Your Tax Credits And Reliefs
Every PAYE employee in Ireland is entitled to tax credits. Depending on your circumstances, there are various reliefs you can claim.
Worked In Ireland Recently Or Part-Time?
Even if you’ve moved abroad or only worked for part of the year, if you’ve been employed in Ireland within the last four years, you can still claim your tax credits.
